FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is SPIRIT?

SPIRIT is a non-competitive teaching league. We focus on our God given abilities and help the children learn skills in a fun environment. We do not keep score. Parents are asked to encourage all children regardless of whose team they are on. Applause is a great motivator to make children feel good about performing and want to do well.

Where are games played?

All games and practices are on site at Mount Zion. Our T-Ball/Soccer field is located at the lower end of the parking lot.  Our gymnasium is located in the back of the church.

How many children are on each team?

Usually there are 8 – 10 kids per team and all teams are co-ed.

How much is SPIRIT?

The cost is $70 per season and $10 off each additional child from the same family. The cost covers your child’s uniform and trophy.  It also covers the cost of maintaining and replacing equipment. Please make all checks payable to Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Basketball- A junior size basketball with the child’s name on it is recommended but not required and tennis shoes.
